Review by A Man Called Smith

O livro A Man Called Smith em parceria com a autora americana Tanya William conta um drama familiar.

This is a family saga, told by father and daughter. With each chapter we have Calla and Jhon’s vision of the events: Violet’s death, the remarriage, the stepmother who is already pregnant.
Calla’s chapters are more interesting because she rebels against her stepmother and will try to live, while her father’s chapters are slow because he still loves the woman who is gone, only married because he was going to be a father, always seems bored with life .
We only know the stepmother through the narrators’ view: we do not know the reason for their attitudes. But you could already feel the narrators influencing the reader to dislike her from the beginning.
An easy-to-read story for those who enjoy family dramas.
